THE HEART OF VENICE AMONG ARCHITECTURE AND THE MINOR ISLANDS
Just a few minutes of navigation are all that are needed to remain dumbfounded by the beauty of San Marco from a privileged and unique view point. Leaving “El paròn de casa” of the city behind, you will be able to admire the perfection of the Palladian architecture represented by Church of San Giorgio and the Redentore Church.
Through the great and chaotic Canale of the Giudecca, you will find yourselves immersed in the everyday Venetian lifestyle, and leaving thus behind, you will find yourselves absorbed by the peaceful and relaxing, “less touristic” lagoon. You will navigate through the Minor Islands, among which, San Clemente, originally a convent, later a mental alyssum, and today a hotel; the island of Santo Spirito; Poveglia, an island with a long and tormented history now abandoned but mysterious; San Lazzaro degli Armeni is home to religious orders dating back to the IX century and today is the monastery and the church of Armenian monks; San Servolo, originally was home to various religious orders, later it became a psychiatric hospital and is now a multicultural center.
After having explored a part of the southern lagoon and having journeyed through hundreds of years of history we invite you to take a relaxing, refreshing swim in the sea waters, enjoy an aperitif overlooking the lagoon and take in a breathtaking sunset.
